My question to Avi Loeb

03.10.2025

Dear Prof. Loeb,
I am very excited about the new data from space and look forward to your conclusions. I studied Psychology and Philosophy in Vienna, with a focus on Wittgenstein's later works, and I would love to ask you a brief philosophical question:
In philosophy, we often stress that data are never 'raw' but always 'observed', interwoven with our consciousness as observers. How do you, as a physicist, frame or define 'consciousness' and 'observation'?
With warm greetings from Austria.
